Fragment of Flinders - Lace Coral Pendant

NOK 2,200.00
This necklace is an outcome of a residency on Flinders Island. My process of exploration of islands is quite specific to the shoreline; Tasmania’s edges in particular offer a collecting ground of potential. This piece was made from the texture of lace coral, which was common on the beaches of Flinders Island.

Flinders is part of the Furneaux group of islands, which sporadically bridge Tasmania across the Bass Strait to the mainland. If you have never been, I recommend it for a retreat. There is something very special in its isolation and tranquility.

This necklace is strung on an adjustable cotton thread. You can wear it short, or long. I prefer to wear it down to my belly button. You can also remove the cotton thread and use your own choice of chain.
